Markdown is a text-to-HTML conversion tool for web writer. It can convert plain text format to valid XHTML(or HTML) structure that can be represented by browser.
Markdown is very easy to read, very easy to write plain text format. Even though for these people who don’t know web technique.
Thus, Markdown is two things:
- A plain text formatting syntax.
- A software tool, written by Perl, and converts plain text format to HTML.
